Questions about OMEGA

How much does an Omega watch cost in Canada?

Omega watches at La Maison Monaco start at $4,200 and reach $283,800 CAD, with a median near $13,900. By line, the De Ville starts at $4,200, the Constellation at $4,400, the Seamaster at $4,700 and the Speedmaster at $7,700. Price depends on the reference, case material and bracelet.

Speedmaster or Seamaster: which Omega should I buy first?

Choose the Seamaster for one watch that handles water and daily wear, and the Speedmaster for a chronograph with Moonwatch history. Nearly all Seamaster references are rated 100 m or more and are automatic, while most Speedmaster references are rated below 100 m, so they suit dry-land wear. Staff in our boutiques can put both on your wrist.

Is the Omega Seamaster Diver 300M a real dive watch?

Yes. The Seamaster Diver 300M is rated to 300 m and has a unidirectional bezel, a screw-down crown and a helium-escape valve. It is built to the ISO 6425 standard for dive watches. We carry more than 120 Seamaster references rated 300 m or more; the exact rating is listed on each product page.

What does Master Chronometer mean on an Omega?

Master Chronometer means METAS, the Swiss federal institute of metrology, has tested the finished watch, not just its movement. The watch must keep time within 0 to +5 seconds per day and resist magnetic fields of 15,000 gauss. Omega's Co-Axial Master Chronometer calibres carry this certification, and the movement type is listed on each product page.

Is La Maison Monaco an authorized Omega dealer, and is the watch in stock?

Yes. As an authorized Omega dealer, we sell every watch with Omega's manufacturer warranty. The product page shows whether a watch is in stock in one of our 15 boutiques in Quebec and Ontario, available to order from Omega, or out of stock. Servicing is arranged through our boutiques. Flexiti financing splits full-price purchases of $500 or more into 12 monthly payments at 0% interest, on approved credit.

The Maison

Omega was founded in 1848 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, by Louis Brandt, and later established its home in Bienne. The name comes from the 19th-century Omega calibre that standardized the brand's production. Omega's modern reputation rests on two pillars. The Speedmaster was flight-qualified by NASA and worn on the Moon during the Apollo 11 mission in 1969, earning the Moonwatch its name and a permanent place in space history. The Seamaster, launched in 1948, built Omega's dive credentials and became the watch of James Bond on screen from the 1990s onward. On the technical side, Omega adopted the Co-Axial escapement, designed by watchmaker George Daniels, to reduce friction and lengthen service intervals. More recently Omega introduced METAS Master Chronometer certification, an independent Swiss standard that tests each watch for chronometric accuracy and resistance to magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss. That combination of space heritage, dive pedigree and certified movements is why Omega is central to our selection, with dedicated Omega boutiques at Royalmount in Montreal and the Rideau Centre in Ottawa.
