Questions about Hamilton

How much does a Hamilton watch cost in Canada?

Hamilton watches at La Maison Monaco cost from $590 to $5,610 CAD. Quartz models run $590 to $1,480, hand-wound models $820 to $3,090 and automatics $970 to $5,610. Our largest line, the Khaki Field, runs $640 to $2,720. Flexiti financing is available on approved credit.

What is the difference between the Hamilton Khaki Field and the Khaki Aviation?

The Khaki Field is the everyday field watch, descended from Hamilton's military issue, with hand-wound and automatic versions from $640. The Khaki Aviation is the pilot line, with larger, highly legible dials and models such as the Pilot and X-Wind, from $1,190. Choose the Field for daily wear, the Aviation for a flight-inspired watch.

Is the Hamilton Ventura the Elvis watch?

Yes. Elvis Presley wore a Hamilton Ventura, including on screen in Blue Hawaii (1961). Hamilton launched the Ventura in 1957 as the first electric watch, and its asymmetric case later appeared in Men in Black. We carry 12 Ventura references from $1,310 to $2,820, including the Elvis80 and the XXL.

Which Hamilton should I buy for everyday wear?

A Khaki Field automatic or a Jazzmaster is the usual choice. The Khaki Field Auto starts at $970 and suits casual and outdoor wear. The Jazzmaster suits the office and the dress code, but most references are rated under 100 m, so keep it away from swimming. Many Hamilton automatics have an 80-hour power reserve.

Does Hamilton make dive watches?

Yes. The Khaki Navy line includes the Frogman, Scuba and BeLOWZERO. We carry 26 Khaki Navy references from $1,190 to $2,670, with water resistance from 100 m to 300 m or more depending on the model. Check the rating on the reference page before you buy, since it varies within the line.

Are Hamilton watches in stock, and are they covered by warranty?

Some references are in stock in our boutiques. Others are available to order from Hamilton, and a specialist confirms your delivery date before the order ships. As an authorized Hamilton dealer, every watch we sell comes from the brand with the Hamilton manufacturer warranty. Bring it to any of our 15 boutiques for service questions.

The Maison

Hamilton was founded in 1892 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and first became known for accurate pocket watches used on American railroads. It supplied field watches to US forces in the Second World War, the origin of today's Khaki Field. In 1957 it launched the Ventura, the first electric watch, whose asymmetric case Elvis Presley wore and which later appeared in the Men in Black films. Production had moved to Switzerland by 1969, and Hamilton now belongs to the Swatch Group, with its Swiss base in Bienne. Many automatics use the H-10 or H-40 movement, each with an 80-hour power reserve.
