What is the Oris Divers Sixty-Five?

The Oris Divers Sixty-Five is a Swiss dive watch line that revives the look of Oris's 1965 diver. Oris brought it back in 2015 for that watch's 50th anniversary, and it has since grown to include steel and bronze cases, several movements and a chronograph. Every model we list is automatic and rated to 100 m, enough for swimming and everyday wear. Within the Oris range, it is the vintage counterpart to the modern Oris Aquis.

Which Oris Divers Sixty-Five movement should I choose?

Choose the Oris 733 for the lowest price, the Calibre 400 for a five-day power reserve, or the chronograph if you time events. Divers Sixty-Five models with the Oris 733 automatic start at $2,850 and run 38 to 41 hours off the wrist, depending on the version. Calibre 400 versions use an in-house Oris automatic with a 120-hour reserve; we list them from $5,450 to $5,750. The chronographs use the Oris 771 automatic with a 62-hour reserve, at $6,050 and $6,350. Every model is self-winding, so none needs a battery.

What dial colours, straps and editions does the Oris Divers Sixty-Five come in?

The Oris Divers Sixty-Five comes with black (15 watches), blue (8), green (8), red (3), grey (2) and brown (2) dials. Cases come in stainless steel (30 models) or bronze (8), on a metal bracelet (19), leather (15), textile (3) or rubber (1) strap. We also list the 38 mm Cotton Candy, in steel or bronze, from $3,650 to $4,550, and two chronographs at $6,050 and $6,350.

Which Oris Divers Sixty-Five should I choose: 38, 40 or 42 mm?

How does the Oris Divers Sixty-Five differ from the Oris Aquis?

The Oris Divers Sixty-Five is Oris's vintage-style diver, rated to 100 m, while the Oris Aquis is the brand's modern dive collection, and most Aquis watches we list are rated to 300 m. Oris also makes the 39 mm Divers Date, a newer diver drawn from the same design. Our boutique team can put these Oris models side by side on the wrist.

Can you swim with an Oris Divers Sixty-Five?

Yes. Every Oris Divers Sixty-Five we list is rated to 100 m, which suits swimming, snorkelling and daily wear. For regular scuba diving, the Oris Aquis gives more depth margin: most Aquis models we list are rated to 300 m. Where the model has a screw-down crown, screw it in fully before swimming, and have the seals checked at each service.
