Which Ocean Star should I choose?

The Ocean Star 200 ($1,410 to $1,600) is the everyday diver, and the 200C ($1,600 to $1,800) adds a ceramic bezel insert. The Diver 600 Chronometer ($2,610) is the most serious tool, rated to 600 m and certified as a chronometer. The Ocean Star GMT ($1,800 to $2,040) tracks a second time zone for travel, the Decompression World Timer ($1,880) brings a distinctive dial and world-time function, and the Tribute ($1,540 to $1,600) takes its style from Mido's earlier Ocean Star models. Blue and black dials are the most common.

What movement is in the Ocean Star?

Every Ocean Star we list is automatic. Most models use Mido's Caliber 80, with about 80 hours of power reserve, so the watch keeps running over a weekend off the wrist. All 20 references are rated to at least 200 m, and the product page shows each reference's case size, material and CAD price.

Frequently asked questions

How much is a Mido Ocean Star in Canada?

A Mido Ocean Star costs from $1,410 to $2,610 CAD at La Maison Monaco. The Ocean Star 200 starts at $1,410, the 200C and Tribute run about $1,540 to $1,800, the GMT $1,800 to $2,040, and the Diver 600 Chronometer is $2,610. Prices are in Canadian dollars, with the full Mido manufacturer warranty.

Is the Mido Ocean Star a real dive watch?

Yes. Every Ocean Star we list is automatic, with a rotating bezel and water resistance of at least 200 m, and the Diver 600 Chronometer is rated to 600 m. That is deeper than recreational diving requires, so it also works as an everyday sports watch. Check the rating on each product page.

What is the difference between the Ocean Star 200 and 200C?

The 200C has a ceramic bezel insert, which keeps its colour and resists scratches better than the standard bezel. Both are 200 m automatic divers with the same overall look. The 200 starts at $1,410 CAD and the 200C at $1,600 CAD, so the ceramic bezel is the main difference in price.

What is the Mido Ocean Star Diver 600 Chronometer?

It is the most capable Ocean Star: rated to 600 m, certified as a chronometer, and priced at $2,610 CAD. It is the choice for deeper water and for buyers who want the certified accuracy. For everyday wear, the Ocean Star 200 is the lower-priced option.

What size is the Mido Ocean Star?

Ocean Star references run from about 40 to 44 mm. The Tribute and Decompression World Timer are 40 to 41 mm, the 200 and 200C are 42 to 43 mm, and the GMT is mostly 44 mm. Try two sizes in boutique, since a diver's bracelet and bezel change how it wears.

Is La Maison Monaco an authorized Mido dealer?

Yes. La Maison Monaco is an authorized Mido dealer in Canada, with 15 boutiques across Quebec and Ontario. Every Ocean Star is new and covered by the full Mido warranty. Those not in stock in boutique are mostly available to order, and a specialist confirms the delivery date before your order ships.
