The Montblanc Star Legacy Nicolas Rieussec Chronograph 43mm Limited Edition invites you to relive the horse races on the Champ-de-Mars circuit in Paris in 1821, the year Nicolas Rieussec validated his inking chronograph invention before the Académie des Sciences de Paris. The brown-toned dial depicts a 19th century illustration of four jockeys crossing the finish line, with golden-coated touches on the Arabic numerals, hour and minute hands, and chronograph counters echoing the warm palette. The flange is engraved in French with references to the Académie and the Chronographe Nicolas Rieussec, while the lining of the brown calf leather strap, designed by Artistic Director Marco Tomasetta with a pointed shape inspired by Montblanc writing instrument nibs, carries a map of Paris from 1821. Limited to 821 pieces, the 43mm stainless steel case houses the MB R200 automatic Manufacture monopusher chronograph movement, whose oscillating weight is decorated with a Clous de Paris motif drawn from the geometric design of Paris cobbled streets.
