HydroConquest or Conquest: which Longines should I choose?

Choose the HydroConquest if you swim or want a dive watch, and the Conquest for a dressier everyday watch. The HydroConquest is rated 300 m, with a ceramic bezel and screw-down crown, from $1,550. The Conquest 2023 is automatic only, rated 100 m, from $2,900, with other Conquest ranges starting at $1,350.

Is the Longines Spirit COSC-certified?

Yes. Every Longines Spirit is a COSC-certified chronometer, meaning each movement is tested independently by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute. We carry 67 Spirit references, all automatic, from $3,350 to $9,150 CAD and water resistant to 100 m. Many use the L888 calibre with a silicon balance spring.

Which Longines is a good dress watch?

The Master Collection is Longines' classic dress line: 160 automatic references from $2,750 CAD, with guilloche-style dials, blued hands and moonphase or calendar versions. For a smaller or rectangular case, look at La Grande Classique, from $1,650, or the Dolcevita, from $2,000, which is mostly quartz.

Do Longines watches from La Maison Monaco come with a warranty?

Yes. As an authorized Longines dealer, we sell every watch with Longines' manufacturer warranty. The product page shows whether a watch is in stock in one of our 15 boutiques in Quebec and Ontario, available to order from Longines, or out of stock. Servicing is arranged through our boutiques.

The Maison

Longines was founded in 1832 in Saint-Imier, Switzerland, by Auguste Agassiz, and grew under Ernest Francillon, who in 1866 built a single factory in a meadow named Les Longines, on the banks of the Suze river. That location gave the brand its name. The winged hourglass became the Longines trademark and is among the oldest registered watch logos still in use, filed in 1889. Longines built its reputation on two things: precision and sport timekeeping. The brand won repeated awards at 19th and early 20th-century observatory chronometry competitions, and it became one of the defining names in official sports timing, serving as timekeeper across equestrian, alpine skiing, gymnastics, and tennis, including a long association with the sport of show jumping and the Roland-Garros tournament. Today Longines is a member of the Swatch Group, which gives it access to exclusive movements such as the L888 caliber, derived from an established automatic base, with a 72-hour power reserve and a silicon balance spring. That heritage of precision, sport timing and accessible Swiss elegance is why Longines is one of the largest brands in our watch selection, with more than 900 references.
