Questions about Frederique Constant

How much does a Frederique Constant watch cost in Canada?

Frederique Constant watches at La Maison Monaco cost from $1,395 to $24,995 CAD. Quartz models start at $1,395, automatics from $1,895, the Highlife from $2,295 and the in-house Manufacture watches from $5,495. Each product page shows the current CAD price, and Flexiti financing is available on eligible models.

Does Frederique Constant make its own movements?

Yes. Frederique Constant developed its first in-house manufacture calibre in 2004 and now builds a family of manufacture movements in its own Geneva workshops, including automatics, moonphases and perpetual calendars. Not every watch uses one: the Manufacture collection does, while many Classics run on quartz or a Swiss automatic. The product page names the movement.

What is the Frederique Constant Heart Beat?

The Heart Beat is Frederique Constant's signature design, an opening in the dial that shows the balance wheel beating beneath. The brand introduced it in 1994. It appears on several Classics and Highlife automatics and on the Heart Beat Moonphase, and it is the detail most associated with the brand.

Which Frederique Constant should I choose: Classics, Highlife or Manufacture?

Choose by style. The Classics are the traditional dress watches and the widest range, mostly 41 mm or smaller. The Highlife is the sportier integrated-bracelet steel watch. The Manufacture collection is for those who want an in-house calibre, including moonphase and perpetual calendar models. Our staff can help you try one on in a boutique.

Are Frederique Constant watches automatic or quartz?

Both. Of the 84 we carry, 50 are automatic and 34 are quartz. Choose an automatic for a mechanical movement, or a quartz watch for a lower price and less upkeep. Many Classics are offered in both versions, and the movement type is listed on each product page.

Is La Maison Monaco an authorized Frederique Constant dealer?

Yes. La Maison Monaco is an authorized Frederique Constant dealer in Canada, with 15 boutiques in Quebec and Ontario. Every watch is sourced from the brand, matches its official reference and carries the full manufacturer warranty. Stock status is shown on each page: in stock, or available to order, meaning we order it in for you.

The Maison

Frederique Constant was founded in 1988 in Geneva, Switzerland, by Peter Stas and Aletta Stas-Bax, and named after two of their ancestors, Frederique Schreiner and Constant Stas. The brand set out to make genuine Swiss watches with classical Geneva styling at prices a wider public could reach, a mission it calls accessible luxury. Its defining moment came in 1994 with the Heart Beat, the open-dial design that shows the movement's balance wheel, which became its visual signature. In 2004 Frederique Constant developed its first in-house manufacture calibre, a significant step for a young, independent brand, and it has since built a family of manufacture movements, including automatics, moonphases and perpetual calendars, assembled in its own Geneva workshops. The brand has also worked in connected watchmaking, bringing Swiss horology to smart functions while keeping an analogue dial. Classical Geneva design, genuine in-house movements and accessible prices define Frederique Constant and its place at La Maison Monaco.
