How much does a luxury watch cost in Canada?

The brand tells you most of the price. Tissot starts at $365 and half of its watches cost $675 or less; Hamilton and Mido sit around $1,500; Longines, Rado and Oris sit around $3,300 to $3,800; TAG Heuer is around $5,400 and Breitling around $8,750. Omega starts at $4,200 and its middle price is about $13,900. IWC starts at $7,300, Hublot at about $8,200 and Zenith at about $10,600. Across the whole range the middle price is $4,200, and the current CAD price shows on every watch.

How do I choose a first luxury watch?

Start with how you will wear it. For one watch that does everything, choose an automatic of 38 to 42 mm on a steel bracelet, such as a Tissot Gentleman, a Longines Conquest or an Omega Seamaster. For swimming, look for a screw-down crown and at least 200 m of water resistance, as on the Tissot Seastar, the Longines HydroConquest or the Omega Seamaster Diver 300M. For a dress watch, a thin case and plain dial slide under a cuff, as on the Longines Master Collection. For a first chronograph, the Omega Speedmaster and the TAG Heuer Carrera are the usual starting points.

What does buying from an authorized dealer change?

An authorized dealer is appointed by the brand, so your watch comes from the manufacturer with the right reference, the full box and the manufacturer warranty card, and the brand's service network honours that warranty. Our boutiques can also take your watch in for servicing and help with sizing and strap options. Watches marked In stock are in a boutique; watches marked Available to Order are ordered in from the brand for you.

Frequently asked questions

Is La Maison Monaco an authorized dealer for the watches it sells?

Yes. La Maison Monaco is an authorized Canadian dealer for each watch brand it carries, so every watch is new, comes from the manufacturer and carries the full manufacturer warranty. Prices are in Canadian dollars, and you can see watches in our 15 boutiques across Quebec and Ontario.

How much does a luxury watch cost in Canada?

Our watches range from $365 to $313,000 CAD, and the middle price is about $4,200. Tissot, Hamilton and Mido are mostly under $3,000, Longines, Rado and Oris mostly sit between $2,000 and $5,000, and Omega, IWC, Hublot and Zenith start higher. The current price shows on each watch.

What is a good first luxury watch?

A steel automatic of 38 to 42 mm from a maker you trust is a safe first luxury watch. The Longines Conquest, the Tissot Gentleman and the Omega Seamaster are common picks. Choose a diver with at least 200 m of water resistance if you swim, or a thin dress watch if you wear a suit most days.

What is the difference between In stock and Available to Order?

In stock means the watch is physically in one of our boutiques. Available to Order means the brand sells it and we order it in for you, so you can still buy it online like any other watch. Out of stock means the brand no longer sells that reference. Our team can confirm availability before you buy.

Can I buy a luxury watch with financing?

Yes. La Maison Monaco offers Flexiti financing across Canada, including Quebec: purchases of $500 or more can be spread over 12 equal monthly payments at 0% interest, on approved credit. Payments are in Canadian dollars, and the Flexiti terms show on each eligible product page.

Do you ship across Canada, and can I see a watch in person first?

Yes to both. We ship across Canada, free on orders over $500, with prices and checkout in Canadian dollars. You can also see many watches in our 15 boutiques in Quebec and Ontario, including dedicated Omega, TAG Heuer, IWC and Zenith boutiques, or book an appointment with a specialist at the boutique of your choice.
