The Big Pilot's Watch IWC Racing Works, limited to 500 pieces, pays tribute to IWC's passion for motorsport. It features a case of grade 5 titanium ' a robust and lightweight material that is also used for high-performance engine components. A matte blue dial with subdued numerals and hands and a matching blue calfskin strap complement the technical grey look of the 46.2-millimetre case. The timepiece is powered by the IWC-manufactured 52110 calibre, a movement that has been engineered with a strict focus on performance, reliability, and durability. The bi-directional Pellaton winding system builds up a power reserve of seven days in two barrels. Components that are subject to high stress are manufactured from virtually wear-free zirconium oxide ceramic. A soft-iron inner case effectively shields the movement from the effects of magnetic fields. The case back features engravings of the IWC Racing Works logo and the individual limitation number.
